This vintage Gaultier jacket features the “JEAN’S PAUL GAULTIER” tag which dates back to the 1990s, made from 100% leather with a bright red polyester lining. The leather is heavy and amazing quality from India, featuring elbow and shoulder pads with multiple zipper pockets. Also features the classic Jean Paul Gaultier back tab with engraving.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s characteristic style dating from 1981 has led to him being known as the ‘enfant terrible’ of French fashion. His first haute couture collection were very formal yet unusual however his subsequent collections were based more on popular trends and streetwear. He was known for playing on traditional gender roles in his shows and using unconventional models.
