The second Rick Owens and Birkenstock collaboration brought the Rotterhikers, which were featured on the runway at the Spring Summer 2019 menswear show. Rick was given freedom to create what he wanted for this collab and desired "a balance between responsibility, wellbeing and hedonism" for the collaboration. The boots are essentially a collaborative Geobasket with a clear Birkenstock sole, Geobasket high tongue, two strap fastening in black and metallic, and internal "Rick in heels" logo. They are very comfy and versatile shoes.
